The Julep

In a collins glass add:
    4 sprigs of fresh mint
    1 teaspoon fruit sugar
    1 tablespoon water
Crush the sprigs until the sugar is dissolved and add:
    1 1/2 oz. (42 ml.) Spirit
        or
    2 oz. (56 ml.) Liqueur
        or
    2 1/2 oz. (70 ml.) Fortified Wine or Wine
Fill with crushed ice. Stir gently with a stir stick until the glass is frosted. Decorate with 2 tall straws, 1 sprig of fresh mint and 1/2 slice of lemon.

The Mist

In an old fashioned glass full of shaved ice add:
    1 lemon zest
    1 1/4 oz. (35 ml.) Spirit
        or
    2 oz. (56 ml.) Liqueur or Fortified Wine
Decorate with 2 short straws.
